marist youth education centre
The Marist Brothers are looking for one Volunteer to help in their Marist youth education centre, directly next to the Cmi Office and the Maristenkolleg Mindelheim.
Work tasks
- Development and implementation of offers in the school framework usually in the morning:
- Religious education programs for student retreats and days of reflection
- Workshops with educational content
- Workshops with religious education content
- Workshops with appropriate content from other subjects
- Target group are classes and other groups of pupils like SMV, AGs, tutors … of the Marist colleges and other schools from Mindelheim and surroundings
- Development and implementation of an open youth meeting in the afternoon
- Low-threshold offers
- Game offers (table football, billiards, darts, board and community games)
- Cooking and baking together
- Painting and handicraft offers
- Bicycle repair shop and what else has to be repaired
- „Philosophy by the fireplace“
- Film offers
- Development of out-of-school Marist youth work
- Reconstruction and accompaniment of the altar server group at the Studienkirche in agreement with the parish of St. Stephan
Optional tasks
- Possibility of cooperation with under-age refugees or examination and development of an own engagement in other social projects
- If necessary and desired coordination management for the so-called backstage as a space for youth work
- Collaboration with youth groups in the parishes and in the region
- Cooperation with Cmi-Germany, the foreign voluntary service of the Maristen particularly in offers of the former volunteers
- Cooperation with the other Marist schools in Germany and the Marist Province Europe-Central-West as well as with national and international Marist actions
